When it comes to men having infertility problems or low sperm count, the first thing that comes to the old generation is “your village people are chasing you” or “you have offended someone somewhere and they’ve tied your sperm somewhere.” But the truth is, having low sperm count can be caused by a lot of things which aren’t in any way spiritual. Something as simple as riding a bicycle can cause infertility in men, as well as eating some foods and snacks.

There are steps you can take and things you can do to help with infertility, so here is a list of foods you can take and not take to help boost your fertility.

Eat Walnuts

Eating about 1/2 cup (60 g) or 8 Walnuts per day, improves sperm motility and strength, according to a 2012 University of California study.


Drinking coffee not only energises the body and improves cognitive functions, it also helps to increase sperm motility. Drinking coffee before sex helps a man’s sperm to move fast, which can increase the success rate for impregnating the opposite sex.

Reduce Soy Intake

Taking plenty Soy can negatively affect the sperm count. It has been linked to lower sperm concentration, according to a 2008 Harvard School of Public Health study,

Avoid Saturated Fats

Saturated fats found in butter, chicken skin and meat can also affect sperm count negatively. According to a 2012 Danish study, eating high amounts of saturated fats lowered sperm count.
