Hello guys!

First of all, I want to apologize for going on sabbatical on you guys, it wasn’t intended and of course I had to ensure that I got back as soon as possible. Thanks for accepting my apology.

While I was absent on here for the last two weeks, I had done some much needed cross-country traveling with my only motive to slay #Slayking lol don’t blame me, needed sometime to breathe and catch some fun because basically I live a boring life already. So don’t blame me if I am still in my slay mode while I type this post, instead just forgive me (I am tempted to drop a picture, nah I won’t).

So straight to the business of the day!

You want to know how I passed JAMB? Hmmmm… take a break and think. What if the topic was just made to get your attention? You people like gist! Chai!!…not to worry though, you won’t be too disappointed I guess lol. Let’s get a bit serious for now.

Amidst all the jokes, fun stories, narratives and distractions; my main goal is to motivate us all.

We all need to find motivation to take action towards making our dreams a reality one way or the other. Truth be told, it gets frustrating, it gets boring, it most times looks impossible especially if you are under a harsh economy but we owe it to ourselves to find motivation to continue and forge ahead. The truth is, it’s not all the time that you’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel, some tunnels are blocked at the other end where the light is and you need to just keep breaking through the barriers till you get to the end of the tunnel and then break through the final barrier so you can enter into the light.

No matter what you’re going through, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you’ll find the positive side of things. Demi Lovato

In such situations, it is very hard to find motivation to keep breaking through the barriers because they will seem difficult, boring, frustrating and impossible. But what you can do is to make it interesting for yourself, make it seem like an adventure that is governed by many mysteries (see the difficulty as mysteries and solve them with a creative and determined approach). I know I make it sound like it’s easy, but it really does work that way!

Sometimes that light at the end of a tunnel is a train. Charles Barkley

When I was studying and preparing for my Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam (coughs), I remember I always had a problem understanding the extremely boring passage in the “Use of English section” and it frustrated my efforts at the end each time, because I always would read the passage over and over and still not understand it therefore, wasting a lot of time on the section and still missing the marks (I am talking about past questions oh, before you start wondering how many times I must have written jamb lol). Because of this reason I had labeled all passages from that section ever published to be boring and difficult to understand and hence, it summarized how it was for me “boring and difficult”.

To the pessimist the light at the end of the tunnel might be another train. Joan Rivers

But I was fortunate to have a wonderful teacher back then who said to us jokingly that he is fully aware that the passages are always boring and difficult. He mentioned that it is an intentional effort by the examiners to deliberately frustrate the students by making it very hard to crack down and hence waste our time (examiners are so cruel sha…apart from making us “find x”, they still want to ensure that we waste our time looking for it). He also then helped us with a solution. He encouraged us to rise above the passage itself, even though the passage is obviously very boring, we should read it in an interesting way. We all have creative minds with which we understand situations or subjects etc. using pictures that we have created in our minds that best represents that which we are trying to comprehend. So in the same vein we needed to apply that to those passages when we came across them while studying.

Seems like the light at the end of the tunnel may be you. Steven Tyler

It sounded so easy to do after he said so and easy it was really, I practically applied that knowledge and it helped me a great deal to be able to deal with such boring and difficult passages. And of course when my results eventually came out, I scored more in the “Use of English” section than I did in any of the other section.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, but the way out is through. David Allen

So basically what I am saying is, when it looks like life itself is playing you a different script or you find yourself in a difficult and complex situation, just apply your creative mind to the situation and make yourself understand the situation In a different light. When it gets boring and you are finding it very hard to understand what is going on or your role in all of the things happening to you or around you, just relax and take a deep breath, paint interesting pictures of the situation in your mind, use them to your advantage, own the script!!

If you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, you are looking the wrong way. Barry Commoner

The “boring” the “difficult” the “impossible” the “frustration” are always going to be present, they are there to make you and I creative thinkers and winners at the end of the day.

The thing about a hero, is even when it doesn’t look like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, he’s going to keep digging, he’s going to keep trying to do right and make up for what’s gone before, just because that’s who he is. Joss Whedon

You know what’s really funny? I had the intention of writing on something else entirely. But I am quite happy I did write about this (this is the point where I have to think of a befitting title for this post lol, okay I just got a title and now it is going to be first thing you’ll see when you see this post lol….but this is where it was born and the fifth line of the post also lol).

I didn’t play the game right because i saw a reward at the end of the tunnel. Ryne Sandberg

Now, let’s proceed to what I initially wanted to write about!!

The paradox called………………………….. see you next week!!!!!

Light at the end of the tunnel? We don’t even have a tunnel; we don’t even know where the tunnel is. Lyndon B. Johnson
